Loose Papers

Anecdote

Back when I started my PhD, research papers were printed on actual paper. I kept an index of the papers in my collection that I'd read, so I could find and cite them properly when required. Here it is:

It's colour-coded, but I don't recall what the colours actually mean.

I do recall why it says "LOOSE PAPERS" on the front, though: it's so that when I no longer had a use for them, I could cross out the "SE" as a joke.

I threw the papers out a couple of days ago, but didn't make the change. Someone at the recycling plant could have taken it literally and done themself an injury.

I'm sure the paper would still have been less scratchy than Izal, though.
