We knew it was a pigeon because we saw it happen. Otherwise, I would have said it was a small angel (if it hadn't left a feather and squeezed out the contents of its lower digestive tract in shock).

Anecdote
Despite our having a window bedecked in Christmas gel stickers, a pigeon still thought the glass wasn't there and flew into it this morning.
We knew it was a pigeon because we saw it happen. Otherwise, I would have said it was a small angel (if it hadn't left a feather and squeezed out the contents of its lower digestive tract in shock).
