Anecdote
So, I got rid of the car today. Its gearbox was broken, its MOT was imminent, it needed new tyres and its road tax was due tomorrow. In its stead we have a rental car for a couple of weeks until we buy a new one.
The rental car is some kind of Hyundai. It may have great safety features, a smooth engine, a good sound system, comfy seats, plenty of room — it may have any or all of these, I didn't notice. All I noticed was that the signalling stalk on the steering wheel column was on the opposite side to every other care I've ever driven. Augh!
Oh well, at least the windows are clean.
