I would never have said "horse". To me, it's always been "man". Run a Google ngram check on it, though, and it's overwhelmingly "horse".

Weird
I've been reading the book Interesting Stories about Curious Words, which I was given either for Christmas or my birthday (they're close enough that they blend into one present-wide). Some of the definitions are more interesting than I was expecting:
