Weird
As is often the case, I begin Saturday thinking "now what will I post about today?", only for the Essex County Standard to barge in with the answer.
So, the story is that three workers at a local nursery school videoed themselves singing a nursery rhyme, Three Little Ducks, and put it on TikTok. From there, it went mildly viral. The main headline is "'Five Little Ducks' make TikTok stars of nursery trio". The sub-headline is:
I can see what they were doing. The article references ducks so they wanted to put in some crackers/quackers wordplay, because they believe we all like wordplay. Sadly, they gave the job to someone who couldn't spell "quackers", as a result of which the impression is given that people are joining a religion because of the video.
The issue also referenced a new restaurant for the third week in a row and had two, separate articles about the opening of another restaurant, so it's good to know that they have plenty of ineptness to spare and didn't spend it all on the ducks story.
