Either:
Someone has played way too many video games and thinks this is what swords look like.
Someone asked Midjourney to create an image of an ornate sword and made the first one it produced.
Someone is afraid The King might actually want to wield a sword and do some damage.
The usual other reasons people do weird things (they were drunk, for a bet, they misread the specification etc.) are also possibilities.
