I'm off to Germany today to give a talk. I'm back in the UK tomorrow. It's a short talk.
The venue is a castle near Düsseldorf; we'd call it a stately home in England, but "castle" is more impressive.
I'm flying from Heathrow this afternoon, so will be enjoying the M25 for a couple of hours. That's if I ever get there — the A12 is having its concrete carriageway replaced by a proper tarmac one, and the delays border on the perpetual. Still, I'm flying business class for once, so what I lose in comfort on the road I should gain in comfort in the air.
Oh, the talk I'm giving is for a developer, and is basically an updated version of one I gave last year: https://mud.co.uk/richard/Tenerife22.pdf. I don't know whether it will go down well with the audience or not, but suspect they'll either all agree (but have already worked it out for themselves) or all disagree (and will enjoy telling me why).
Hmm, I wonder if I have access to the business lounge at Heathrow. I hope so — free snacks!
