Weird
I was reading a paper the other day about generating 3D images of a face from a text description. Its test examples concerned Bruce Lee, Emilia Clarke and a dog. Just on a whim, I asked Midjourney to generate an image for me of Bruce Lee, Emilia Clarke and a dog. This is what it produced:
OK. Well that doesn't look a great deal like Bruce Lee, but it looks even less like Emilia Clarke. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a great many immediate ancestors of Chinese heritage.
Ah, but perhaps Midjourney doesn't know what Emilia Clarke looks like?
Nah, it does.
Hmm, well could it be because I gave the prompt "Bruce Lee and Emilia Clarke"? Maybe if I prompted it with "Emilia Clarke and Bruce Lee", that would make a difference.
It didn't.
Well let's try some other English actresses, then. Guess who this is with Bruce Lee:
That's right, Emma Watson.
Do Emma Watson and Emilia Clarke affect one another?
Well apart from having some kind of on-off love affair, apparently not.
Let's see if Midjourney knows Keira Knightly:
Yes, it does;some of those aren't bad. How does Keira face up to Bruce Lee, then?
Another round to Bruce.
Finally, I decided I'd try an actress with a completely different ethnicity. Let's send Halle Berry into the fray!
This is where I stopped. Bruce Lee wins Midjourney.
