Anecdote
I went to the dentist yesterday. I was told I have a cavity underneath one of the teeth supporting my bridge, but the dentist doesn't know how bad it is because the frame of the bridge is made of metal and X-rays can't see through it. She'll fill it when it starts to hurt.
