I have been visited by magic, in the form of gingerbread snowmen who arrived in the post courtesy of their maker, Pooky Amsterdam.
Who knew that making a friend at a conference in New York 20 years ago would result in the periodic unexpected arrival of delicious cookie surprises?
I would say that Fate did me a favour on that day, but I met Steve Bannon at the same conference so I guess that balances it out.
