Anecdote
At the start of the pandemic, I bought some long-life milk in case there was an interruption to supplies of ordinary milk. There was no interruption in supplies, so the long-life milk has been occupying space in our refrigerator for ten months.
Today, because our ordinary milk was smelling a bit iffy, I opened the long-life milk. It smelled fine, so I put it in my tea.
The expiry date for this milk was 23rd July 2020, but it seems that it's a lot longer-lived than advertised.
If I post nothing tomorrow, you can assume that my conclusion was incorrect.
