Anecdote
Our plumber visited today to install a new kitchen sink tap.
He spent the first half of his installation arguing that people who go to hospital with COVID-19 who haven't been vaccinated ought to pay for their treatment. He spent the second half explaining how to erect a log cabin bought off eBay.
Still, we have a nice, new tap now, which is tall enough that the end doesn't catch on the lid of Britax jug we use to take the hardness out of the water that we put in the kettle so it doesn't fur up.
Just before the plumber left, we had a delivery of a new shed. The workmen parked their vans so that not only did they block in the plumber but they also blocked in themselves.
Fortunately, they'd been gone ten minutes by the time the Sainsbury's van arrived with the week's shopping.
