Anecdote
Colchester Coulcil wants to save the planet. Rather than send everyone a printed copy of their recycling calendar, it's put it online. It's too small to read on a phone. Nobody wants to turn their computer on to see what rubbish to put out this week. Everyone has to download their calendar and print it off themselves. No trees are saved because of this. Colchester Council actually wants to save money.
I can't complain about wanting to save money, though, because this is what my calendar looked like when I printed it off.
The green weeks are for plastics and paper. The blue weeks are for general household waste.
I may have to concede that it's time to buy some more ink for my printer.
