Anecdote
My keynote at Gamesweek Berlin yesterday went well, I think. I've no idea how many people attended, and I don't think anyone else has either, but there was more than just me and the moderator there.
I've uploaded the slides here: https://mud.co.uk/richard/QuoVadis.pdf.
Zoom is OK, but you don't get to have much of a Q&A afterwards, and you don't get to chat for half an hour in a small group with the people who found your talk especially provocative. Still, it's better than catching Covid-19, or getting stuck in a foreign country because of a sudden travel ban or something.
Later this afternoon, I'm participating in a panel-style discussion that's streaming over Twitch. I've only ever used Twitch to look at a Twitch link someone has sent me, so have no idea what I need to do for streaming. I've been sent a link and assured that if I click on it then miracles will happen, but there are also instructions for installing software that will hand control of my PC to moderators so I don't expect that's going to happen.
Hmm, maybe I should put a light on so people can tell where my head is.
