Anecdote
The picture isn't very good, but it shows a gouge in the road surface near where I live. It was caused by a large truck.
The truck in question was operated by a crew laying a new road surface for a different road in the vicinity.
This is why road crews are never out of work. Their job is repairing damages to road surfaces caused by road crews.
