The George Cross is the UK's highest civilian award for gallantry. At the end of all this, how about we award it to the NHS?
The official name of the organisation would become the National Health Service, GC.
In the years to come, such an award would help future generations remember all that the NHS workers have done for us while putting their own lives at risk during this crisis.
Just an idea.
