Weird
I saw this in the window of a coffee shop in Covent Garden.
I hadn't come across the adjective "adaptogenic" before, but it sounded like some kind of New Age fad so I looked it up.
Hmm. It seems that I was correct in my assessment. Adaptogens offer an as-yet-unproven means of reducing stress. Coffee, on the other hand, is a proven means of increasing stress.
Isn't it great, being a scientist?
No, it's not great, because the owners of that coffee shop are sure to make far more money this year than I am.
