Anecdote
I bought another Dondorf number 122 off eBay for cheap recently. It seems to have been used exclusively as a stripped deck for playing a 40-card game (Ombre or some such), because the 8/9/10 of each suit is in pristine condition. Even the gold leaf survives on the 8/9/10.
