My guess is that they expect new students to mark where they come from on the maps. Nevertheless, given that the message is "Welcome to Essex", it might have been an idea to mark Essex on there.

Weird
This is the large billboard-sized poster that the university has put up ready for the impending arrival of freshers.
My guess is that they expect new students to mark where they come from on the maps. Nevertheless, given that the message is "Welcome to Essex", it might have been an idea to mark Essex on there.
