Anecdote
There was a hefty thunderstorm yesterday. I didn't hear it as I had my headphones on while playing Black Desert; well, I didn't except for that one time when the lightning knocked out the house electrics and I heard the thunder a split-second later because my headphones were suddenly no longer working. Remarkably, when I finally got back online about 20 minutes later, my character was still alive. Dunno how that happened, as I was in a fight with 3 giants when then power went. Hmm, maybe they lost their power, too?
