Anecdote
I had trouble getting to my CE217 class this morning, because while I was trying to walk down four flights of stairs, the people from the previous class were walking up them while looking at their mobile phones. They were completely oblivious to my existence.
I get that every week, of course, but this week was different because I was carrying a heavy box containing something like 15 board games.
Walking into that certainly made them aware of my existence...
