Anecdote
Every year, I give my CE217 students some materials from which to make games. They have a number of options, one of which is a set of blank dice. If they choose the dice, I give them some dry-wipe pens to mark the dice with and the students use it to make a game. Afterwards, I wipe off the dry-marker ink.
Of course, dry-marker ink comes off quite easily anyway. This year, one of the students decided to use their own pen on three of the dice. This pen was not dry-wipe. I don't know what it was, but I can't get it off using water, soap, meths, swarfega or white spirit. I soaked them in white spirit for 8 hours and it had no effect:
Any suggestions?
I'm actually quite impressed that the dice themselves didn't dissolve after living in white spirit for 8 hours.
