Anecdote
Hmm, I don't know how many hours I've worn my new headphones since I got them, but it's got to be at least 6 or 7. Only now have I discovered that I had them on back to front: the left sounds were going into my right ear and vice versa. I discovered it because they were a bit uncomfortable so I tried them the other way round, not because I thought I was hearing the sounds wrong. It was only when I ran some stereo tests from Youtube that I discovered the wire was attached to the right phone, not the left phone.
I knew I was hopeless at telling which directions sounds come from, but I didn't realise I was that hopeless...
