Anecdote
I finally received my World of WildStar DVDs yesterday, and after spending an hour persuading AVG to allow its login system through my firewall I finally sat down to play it.
I decided to play Horde this time round, because that's where the human characters are. I have elves, undead and dwarfs on my side (the Alliance has pretend humans, trolls, orcs and goblins). I'm playing a Priest rather than my previous Paladin, because there seem to be a lot of ground effects and if I stay ranged I don't have to get out of their way.
I played a little more this morning and am now in the Barrens, around level 8.
Yes, I can see how this MMO might appeal to people.
