Anecdote
I brought my younger daughter home for the holidays today. Her house had a Christmas tree occupying most of the front room, with paper-chain decorations and tinsel everywhere. Given that she's an atheist whose two housemates are a Sikh and a Muslim, I'm quite pleased: it shows that the youth of today can separate tradition from religion, meaning I still get presents.
I also discovered that my daughter has perfected her recipe for fudge. Ha, I knew those pharmacy lab sessions would pay dividends in the end! Diabetes, here I come!
