Anecdote
When I arrived at my CE317 lecture today, there, waiting for me, was the power supply for my laptop that I'd inadvertently left behind a week ago. Either a week's worth of students are honest enough not to take it, or they're unobservant enough not to notice they could take it.
Incidentally, this lecture is one of the few I give in which students sit in the front row. The reason is that this way they can plug in their laptops and other electrical gadgets and recharge them at the university's expense. I bet if someone left a PSP power supply there by accident, it wouldn't last a day, let alone a week...
