Anecdote
I was in the queue to weigh my bananas in Saisbury's today and a woman in her 60s pushed in front of me. Dangling from her wrist she had a fold-up umbrella. While she was using the touch-screen to select the product she was buying, the umbrella rested on the scales. As a result, her few florets of broccoli were priced the same as a few florets of broccoli plus an umbrella's weight of same, costing her something like £5.65 instead of 50p or whatever. She didn't notice.
I would have told her, but as she'd pushed in I didn't.
So perish all who offend me...
