Anecdote

We bought MS Office for my younger daughter's new laptop yesterday. When she shut the system down, it went into one of those states where it said this:



It remained like that for 6 hours, then we powered it off. Fortunately, it was OK after another half an hour of it this morning. Good ol' Microsoft...

Oh, and further investigation by my daughter reveals that the webcap does indeed have a motion-sensor record facility. Also, there aren't 50 captures of innocent passing shoppers, there are 550. Who knew that stores used their display PCs for customer surveillance?
