Weird
I bought a collection of volumes of the Gentleman's Magazine from (when else?) 1869 recently. One pair of pages hasn't been cut properly and you can't open them to read the text inside; the fact that in 142 years no-one has ever felt it necessary to take a paperknife to them and separate it perhaps gives some indication of how interesting the articles are...
