Anecdote
This is the second day in a row that I've been given euro coins in my change at the Student Union shop at the university. Yesterday, they gave me a €2 coin instead of 10p; today, I got 10c instead of 1p. It's not even as if they look the same. Are people offloading the currency or what?
Oh, and the sign in the shop that says "we work hard to make sure you don't queue more than 2 minutes" doesn't take account of politics students who are ready to kill for a packet of cigarettes but have forgotten the PIN on their credit card.
