Anecdote
The 2009/2010 Student Assessment of Courses results came out today for the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at Essex University. There are 51 undergraduate modules, and the highest-rated was EE314 — the third-year module that I taught. It scored 4.93 out of a possible 5, which is quite a bit higher than top courses normally score.
Yay! Yay for me! Victory! Ha! In your face, other 50 modules!
My own other module, CE217, came sixth on 4.50 — pipped by the other second-year games module, CE218, which rated 4.51 .
Mutter ... grumble ... and I gave them free chocolates, too. So much for bribery...
