Anecdote
It's my birthday today, and for the first time in my life I'm 50.
Hmm, faced with the stark enormity of this fact, I guess I should face reality and stop deluding myself that I'm going to live forever. The truth of the matter is, I'm now probably a good third of the way through my life.
