Anecdote
My wife is a programmer for a bank in London. Normally she has to show up to work looking smart, but this week has been instructed by her employer to go to work in jeans on account of how the G20 leaders decided to hold an event of world-wide importance in a heavily-populated, easily-accessible city stuffed with bankers (instead of, say, an aircraft carrier). Protestors will be everywhere and so, in common with other banks, the dress code has been dropped. The idea is to look as if you, too, could be a protestor.
The danger, of course, is that the police consequently arrest you.
