Anecdote
We just had a thunderstorm here. It was accompanied by about half an inch of rain.
Whenever we get heavy rain here, it collects in a stream and runs down the path on the north side of our garden:
In so doing, it picks up soil which it deposits as silt at the bottom. Another thousand years of rain and the garden will be level from it.
Hmm, I just realised I should have videoed it instead of taking a photograph. Then, I could have said it was streamed.
