Outburst
I renewed my motor insurance today.
I got a quote through from the AA for £388. However, their online system didn't recognise the number they gave me, and their automated renewal system rejected it too, so I ended up talking to a real person.
He asked me if the details were right on my form. Well, since it gave my job as "computer programmer" I said it wasn't — I went with "university lecturer" instead. I also told him I was Dr, not Mr.
These details revised the quote to £401.
So ... university lecturers are £13 a year more dangerous drivers than computer programmers?
