I'm sick of having to cart my laptop around with me when I go lecturing, so this is what I want.
I want a pocket-sized, battery-operated device with an SVGA interface that I can plug directly into a projector cable. The device takes a memory card of some kind, on which are stored PowerPoint presentations. I have a second device with up/down/select buttons on it that communicated with the first so I can select/run a presentation, move between the slides while running it, and stop. The second device has a built-in laser for pointing at the screen and waking up sleepy students.
That's what I want, but if it's out there I haven't found the right search terms yet.
