Weird
On the wall of corridor 4B of what used to be the Department of Computer Science at the University of Essex is this box:
It's a circular box about four inches in diameter and an inch or so thick, with a glass panel. It's empty.
In case you can't read it, here's a magnified view of the writing underneath:
So, if there's a fire then you break the box, remove the key, and use it to open the nearby door to the outside. Except, there is no key, because the box is empty.
That box has been empty since 1982.
