Weird
I was asked recently to provide a list of my top six essential reference works for virtual worlds. This is actually quite hard! My main problems were not including works that are useful to virtual world designers (but not necessarily researchers, players or journalists) and not duplicating things (listing a paper that's in a book I already listed).
No, I'm not going to tell you what I came up with, as I don't have permission from the publishers to do so. Then again, I'm not sure I need it anyway as I'm not being paid for my opinions.
Ah, yes, publishers: this is going in The Infography, some kind of online resource database for use by librarians.
The reason I'm blogging this is the name, Infography. How would you pronounce that? To me, it was IN-fo-graphy until I discovered the publishers' pronunciation guide. It's apparently in-FOG-raphy.
Fog. Hmm. Doesn't sound to me the best place to look to find something.
