Anecdote
A while ago, I mentioned the splendid Everybody's Pocket Dictionary. I actually got quite a response to this (ie. more than one person wrote to me about it), so resolved to show a sample page from the book in order that people could experience the full glory of its magnificently and consistently cockeyed definitions.
Well, today I finally got around to it. The dice rolled, and page 213 came up:
Sadly, Sheep is in there only as an animal, rather than a quadruped. You gotta choke on Shrew, though!
