Anecdote
Ah, it's good to be back in Yorkshire.
Today, we did some shopping for my wife's birthday. In one shoe shop, the till jammed on the paper while printing the receipt, and after resetting it they were unable to give me the customer copy. They therefore had to give me the shop copy, and make a note on it in case we brought the shoes back.
Here's what the note said:
The mis-spelled word, the unself-conscious use of a colloquialism...
Ah, it's good to be back in Yorkshire.
