Outburst
So, half of adults will be unable to do the maths needed to understand the new labelling system being launched by the food industry, eh? Even though all that have to do is add up a few percentages?
This is a case for improving mathematics teaching, not for dumbing down food labels.
Alternatively, it's a fiendish government scheme to increase the overall intelligence of the population by making those unable to add up die of an unhealthy diet.
