Outburst
2,661 pieces of email awaited me when I logged in this morning, almost all of it spam. I used to get 1,000 spams a day, but in the week before Christmas it shot up. It dropped following the recent earthquake that disrupted communications in the Far East, but seems to have recovered again.
My anti-spam measures took out 2,300 or so of what I received, but I still had to download it. I suppose I should start looking for an email client that allows me to delete messages on the server without first downloading them, because MS Outlook doesn't seem able to do it...
Reminder: if you're not in my address book and want to email me without interference from my spam-removal rules, look here.
