My contribution to world driving safety: put polarised glass in car windscreens and near-oppositely polarised glass in headlights. That way, you won't get dazzled by oncoming cars. You'll still be able to see the things illuminated by your own headlights because the light reflected back from them will be scattered rather than polarised.
My contribution to world dental safety: put polarised glass on the big light they shine into your mouth and wear polaroid sunglasses. That way, you won't get blinded when the dentist works on your mouth. The dentist will still be able to see because they won't be wearing sunglasses.
Polarised glass: a wonder of the modern age.
