According to a recent survey by Anholt-GMI, Britain is the world's favourite nation. Switzerland came second, with Canada third.
In any other country, this would be seen as a reason to celebrate, but not here. The reason? Because the same survey found that foriegners view us as being the most educated, most polite and most boring people on the planet. That "most boring" part is what everyone noticed — we don't care that we're held in very high esteem by 25,907 representative individuals from across the world, because it's obvious they know nothing if they thing we're boring.
Always the negative, never the positive (says me, negatively).
