For some perfectly good reason of whoch I'm not appraised, The Times was delivered to our house today instead of The Independent. Hmm, it seems a little more pro-Israel than my usual reading (which isn't so much anti-Israel as anti-war), but hey, it's only for a day.
Anyway, one of the articles concerns a man who went fishing wearing chest-high waders in a river. He slipped, the waders willed with water, and he drowned.
I can't believe this still happens. I remember someone drowning the same way when I was a child, and people saying something should be done about it.
Why don't they make waders with built-in lifejackets?
