Weird
My younger daughter has a pencil sharpener with a globe atop it. The globe is supposed to have an old world feel to it, as its interpretation of Europe demonstrates:
Elsewhere, it gets a little more hard to recognise. Here's Central America:
OK, that's not so bad. I was somewhat surprised to find out what it did with Alaska, though:
North America is joined to Asia? Here it is again, using the wonders of flash photography to make it all the more visible:
Were there ever any historical maps that did this? I find it hard to believe.
Yes, this is just a chance to show off the fact that my camera is working again.
