I received an interesting email from Eddy Carroll concerning the misreading of Raph Koster's name that I mentioned the other day. After himself seeing the "L that isn't there", he consulted Google to check for other people who made the same mistake.
Book companies, despute the fact that they really should know better, are prominent misreaders. Culprits include Barnes and Noble, Holborn Books and Best Prices (didn't notice that name on the cover right there in front of you on the web page, huh, guys?).
There's also blog after blog after blog after blog after blog that does it...
My favourite example is: "All that and the man's name is Ralph Koster, not Koser"
