Anecdote
At 11:40 this morning I was one of eight people in Square 2 at the university. Six of the others were using mobile phones.
Maybe it's because Square 2 is outside the Computer Science department, or maybe it's because it's quieter than Square 3, or maybe it has better mobile phone reception. Maybe it was just coincidence.
Anyway, as I walked past one of the others, he said into his phone, "I'm doing an anti-rain dance". Ten minutes later, I heard the same phrase being said on Square 1 by a couple of lads coming out of the Psychology Department.
It must have been on TV last night...
