I had another rescheduled lecture today, EE214, from 9-11. There was snow on the ground, it was hard to get onto campus, it was at an ungodly hour: would the students come or would they stay in bed? It's the classic game theory "student's dilemma":
| Everyone else comes | Everyone else stays away | |
| I come | We're all inconvenienced | I'll do better than everyone else in the exam |
| I stay away | Everyone else will do better than me in the exam | The exam will have to be made easier because we all missed the lecture |
