Outburst
My 2003 book is entitled Designing Virtual Worlds. That wasn't what I wanted to call it, though: the original title was The Design of Virtual Worlds, but the publishers changed it. Their reason? "No book that has a title which starts with 'The' ever sells many copies".
Just think how much of a best-seller The Bible would have been if medieval printers had had today's marketing know-how?
